Be a part of “The Valentine Project” and send a FREE Valentine’s Day Card to a loved one. The Valentine Project is a special pay it forward kind of project perfect for the Holiday of Love! The Valentine Project was created in honor of Dan Halek, who was born on Valentine’s Day. In 2011, Danny would have turned 40, and his sister Valerie Smiley wanted to recognize this occasion; letting people send unexpected Valentines seemed the perfect way.
Danny passed away in 2005 at the age of 34 from complications of Kidney Disease and Type I Diabetes. He was a great guy, full of warmth and good humor. He would have loved the idea of spreading Love, kindness and happiness in this cool way.
The Valentine Project is free and there is no donation associated with participation. Since 2011 dozens and dozens of wonderful cards have been sent with Danny’s spirit behind them.
